Nicolas Pavil (57 years old) is the General Director of the Roissy Pays de France urban council and Association des collectivités du Grand Roissy.
Nicolas Pavil has worked in the areas of tourism, development and urban policies. He managed several tourist offices (Font-Romeu, Barcelonnette) and worked as a the director of development in several inter-municipal organizations (Vallée de l’Ubaye, in the French Alps; Val de France – 165 000 inhabitants - in Grand Roissy). He then became general director of Val de France and is now general director of Roissy Pays de France.
During his work experience he has gained many different skills: management, law, finance, human resources, economic development, urban planning, housing, social cohesion... Thanks to them, he has a global approach to urban policies.
In his different functions, he has managed many different projects of different scope. He has worked on strategic planning projects, especially when contributing to the design of large scale strategic planning documents (Project agreements between local municipalities, départements and the French State for Val de France, inter-municipal local housing plans, Grand Roissy economic areas plan...) and developing ANRU projects under the national urban renewal programme. He has also managed planning operations (development of business parks and facilities, renewal of housing areas and train stations…).
With one objective – the general interest- he has always developed a pragmatic approach, based on listening and dialogue.
