Copenhagen is the capital and most populated city of Denmark. It is situated on the eastern coast of Zealand.
Copenhagen has the ambition of becoming the first carbon neutral capital by 2025. The goal is to show that it is possible to generate growth and progress while also reducing CO2 emissions. Copenhagen’s goal of becoming CO2 neutral by 2025 is clearly connected with a strong focus on growth, employment and quality of life.
Copenhagen will particularly focus on the development of industrial clusters, i.e. existing commercial areas that have a competitive advantage. This will be done by strengthening dialogue with the business community, and by building partnerships with both commercial and knowledge institutions.
An important part of the plan is also to make Copenhagen an even more enjoyable city to live in: clean air, less noise and a green city will improve everyday life for Copenhageners.
