On April 8, 2019 EC-Link Project was invited to participate at the CCICED round table meeting held in The Hague (Netherlands).
The China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) was founded in 1992 as a high-level international advisory body, it serves as a platform for exchanges on environment and development policies between China and the international communities, for promoting collaborative efforts to achieve ecological civilization, and for advocating innovative and better governance system of the global environment.
The round table meeting has organized to discuss how urbanization processes and patterns might influence environmental improvement, in both China and elsewhere in the world. During these discussions, the Task Force on Green Urbanization and Environmental Improvement showed preliminary results from its Special Policy Studies (SPSs). International experts from China, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Belgium have presented their research findings and case studies and reflected on the SPSs preliminary results, from the perspective of Chinese urban development towards 2035.
EC-LINK project provided its extensive experience on green urbanization in China & in Europe, providing useful insights to all international experts. The Project will continue the dialogue with CCICED and the cooperation with cross sections’ international & domestic organizations and experts in order to support adequate development and implementation of strategy & policy in Chinese green urbanization sector.
